When I was young, I always wanted to be friends with people who had video game systems. Trading/borrowing games was one of the best ways to be able to play a whole bunch of different games and never had to use allowance or gift money to buy or rent. It was a new exciting experience every time I got home from a friend's with some new video game to try out. Now that I'm older, and you can get just about every game as a ROM, or can download it in some capacity, a lot of that magic is lost. Not only that but the new games that companies are coming out with, don't seem to be as weird or imaginative. It is a huge childhood killer to me to have grown old enough to witness an industry I once admired and dreamed about, develop into a cash cow puking out the same material over and over again.
Oh number 13, what an unlucky number. But disappointing, ok, maybe disappointing also. The number 13 can be disappointing in a number of ways, but to me, it's disappointing because i have unfortunately been to the bathroom 13 times in the last hour. Now this could be a sign of a small gal bladder or whatever makes it that you have to pee or it could be prostate cancer. You never know, but unfortunately, I know. On Friday the 13th, I was told that because I have used the bathroom 13 times within an hour, that I have 13 kidney stones. :-(
When I was 8 I had a loose tooth. I thought it would be funny to taunt one of the boys in the neighbourhood with it. I kept wiggling it in between my lips to freak him out. After a while I had obviously gotten to him quite a bit. He punched me in the mouth. My tooth fell out into the grass. I never managed to find it and I never got my money from the tooth fairy *sigh*. What a disappointment.
